Privacy Policy

We believe privacy policies should be easy to read. Here's a plain-English explanation of what data we collect, why, and your rights.

What data we collect

We collect account information necessary to create and use your account and any in-game services and features. This may include identifiers such as a username or display name, and contact information used for authentication.

We also collect general usage information to help us understand how our services are used and how to improve them over time.

Why we collect it

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • Contractual Necessity: To create and manage your account, enable gameplay features, provide the services you have requested from us and identify you to other players where relevant.

  • Legitimate Interests: To improve our games, fix bugs, ensure the security of our services, improve performance and protect our games and players from fraud or abuse - provided this doesn’t override your own rights and interests.

  • Legal obligations: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Third-party services

We use third-party service providers to help us operate our services, including cloud hosting, data storage, authentication, and platform services. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are only permitted to use your data to provide services to us.

If you choose to log in using a third-party account, that provider will authenticate your identity. Those providers have their own privacy policies which govern how they handle your data independently.

If you access our services through a third-party platform (such as an app store or console network), that platform may independently collect information about you and share certain information with us, such as your purchase data or player identifier. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on legally recognised safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or, where applicable, a provider’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it in these circumstances:

  • Other players: Your in-game display name may be visible to other players as part of normal gameplay.

  • Service providers: Third-party providers who process data on our behalf to deliver our services.

  • Legal requirements: If required by law or a competent authority.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as you maintain an account with us. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting us. We will action your request promptly.
We run automated backups. If you delete your account, we remove your data from our live systems promptly. Residual copies may persist for a limited time in encrypted backups, used only for disaster recovery, before being automatically purged as part of our normal backup cycle.

Your rights

We apply GDPR-level rights to all users regardless of location. You have the right to:

  • Access: Ask us what data we hold about you.

  • Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.

  • Deletion: Ask us to delete your account and personal data.

  • Portability: Receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

  • Objection: Object to certain ways we use your data.

  • Restriction: Ask us to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.

  • Withdraw consent: If you have opted in to any communications, you can opt out at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello @ really-interactive.se. We will respond within one month of your request. In some cases, particularly where a request is complex, we may extend this by a further two months. If so, we’ll let you know within the first month and explain why.

Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and review our practices regularly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. We will post the latest version on our website with a revised "last updated" date. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.

If you have unresolved concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to contact your local data protection authority. In Sweden, this is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) at www.imy.se. If you are located elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your own country’s data protection authority, in addition to or instead of the IMY.
